Downloading Client Files from Draftworx Cloud (Desktop) ​

What it is: A transfer function in Draftworx Desktop that lets you pull a client file from your Draftworx Cloud account and save it as a local or server file on Desktop.

What it's for ​

Firms that work across both Draftworx Cloud and Draftworx Desktop can use this to bring a Cloud client file down to Desktop, where it becomes available as a local or server file. This is useful when work started on Cloud needs to continue on Desktop, or when a local copy is required.

How to do it ​

  1. On the Client List screen, navigate to Transfer.
  2. Select Download from Draftworx Cloud.
  3. Enter your Draftworx Cloud login details and select Login.
  4. Your active Cloud client files appear under Cloud Clients.
  5. Double-click the client file, or select it and choose Download to Local or Download to Server.
  6. Select Copy to confirm.
  7. The client file is downloaded and appears in the Desktop Client List.
